Tim Whiffler was by Van Galen, out of Sybil, by Ugly Buck, out of Sylph, by Titha da puta, Van Galen being by Van Tromp, out of Littlo Casino, by inheritor. Flying Scud was a dark bay mare, bred m Victoria by Mr J. Harper m 1865, got by Fisherman, her dam being Jeanette by Littlo John, Whilhelmina by Romeo, Mobb Robo by Emigrant, the Driver mare. (For extended pedigree see English and Australian Btud books ) Tim Whiffler was scarcely ever beaten m England. The dam of this horse being by Fisherman shows his grand blood, as a study of the stud book will show that Musket's great success has been from Australian bred mares, for the descendants of the grand old Fisherman, viz., Martini' Henry, Nordenfelt, and Trenton, are al descended from Fisherman on the dams side. Terms: One Mare, £3. A reduotion will be made for two or more mares from one owner, Groomage fee, 6s, payable on first service. GEO. APPLETON, 63? AebWtoD,
