Writing of the legaoy of £150,000 left to Sir Charles Dilko, and the condition of change of name -thore'o attached, the " Bruce Herald " Bays : — '♦ Snooke, or Snooks, is for a<?me ocoalt reason regarded aa a very ohjeotionable name, It is a fast though that it belongs to many highly reapeotabln families m the south of England. Wo would have no objection to adopting it if a big fortune were attached thereto It would be easy after getting Ihe money to ray that one objected to a nickname, and wonld m future use the word m Its original iutegrity, Sevenoaka, and not m the vulgar contracted form, Snooks. "
