The inquest concluded this afternoon without any satisfactory result The medicAl men re- affirmed the existenoft of extensive injurfei on the body of the deceased woman, which oould only have been caused during life by violence intentionally aiec!, while the relations of the murdered woman, including the mother aad sister, dtolarsd they had attended her during sickness, and prepared her body for burial, and were positive that do injuries such as thoae detorlbed had been sustained. The theory to aooounc for the fracture of the Bkull waa that the head had been Injured m a fall daring ohildhood, but tha medioal evidence scouted this idea. The police assert that there was a combination to prevent evidence being obtalued. The jury returned a verdict " That the deceased died by violence, but there was no evidence to show by whom the violence was administered."
