The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has received the following cablegram : — London, Maroh 29. Wool.— The market is slightly steadier since the opening of the sales. It is firmer for coarse crossbred and easier for faulty lambs' wool. The Continental demand is good, but the Home trade are purchasing sparingly, excepting crossbred. Up to date it is estimated that 274,00a bales have arrived and 52,000 bales have been sold. Wheat. — New Zealand wheat (ordinary) to arrive iron ship is worth ci.f., 36s 6d per 4801 b, May bill of lading. Victorian to arrive iron ship is worth, ci.f., 34s 6d per 4801 b, March bill of lading. Victorian is worth 36s 6d, New Zealand average 355, and New Zealand long-berried 36s 6d per 4961 b, Frozen Meat. — Market quiet. Canterbury mutton and lamb are worth respectively 4^d and 6d per Ib.
