1.0.0.F..M.U. i The iieual quarterly meeting of the Loyal Pioneer Lodge waa held m the Springbnrn Schoolroom on Saturday, March 19. In the absence of the N G., Bro D. Syme took the chair. '1 he minutes of the last meeting having been read and confirmed, a letter was reoeived from the Loyal Ashburton Lodge, stating that the application for a new district, "to be called the Ashburton district, had been granted, and that it would be necessary to send a delegate to attend the meeting to be held m Ashburton on the Ist of April. Business— appointment of officers, etc On the motion of Bro. 8. TrtcOlimont, Bro. E. B. Cooper was appointed to attend the meeting. ||On the motion of Bro. E. B. Cooper, it was resolved to hold the ÜBUal half-yearly ball on the Ist April, and a committee was then appointed to make the necessary arrangements. The receipts for the evening amounted to £19 0s 6d, and the expenditure to £16s8d.
