IRISH AFFAIRS.
London, March 21, In the House of Commons this afternoon, Mr A. J. Balfour, Secretary for Ireland, gave notice that to-morrow he would introduce The Crimes Bill, and should move that it take precedence. Mr John Morley gave notice he should oppose the precedence motion. London, March 22. In the House of Commons last-night Mr A. J. Balfour moved that no facilities be gived for greater stringency of the law m Ireland, without a reduction of the present excessive rents. It is probabley that the debate on the motion will last a week. (Received March 23, 11 a.m.) Mr John Morley (not Mr Balfour) moved as an amendment to the Crimes Bill that facilities be not given for greater stringency of the law m Ireland without security to prevent excessive rents.
