NON-FUSION OF LIBERALS.
It is feared that the attempt to bring •bout a re-union of the members of the Liberal party will prove futile. It Was hoped by Mr Chamberlain and the others assisting him that Mr Gladstone would somewhat modify his views on the Irish difficulty, but the latter adheres firmly to the policy enunciated by him last year, and declines to make my concessions.
