REVOLT IN MOZAMBIQUE

Intelligence is to hands from Mozambique that the Natives are taking ad* vantage of the absence of the Portu* guse forces to occupy Tungi, m Zanzi« bar, and have risen m open revolt against Portuguese rule. The Mozambique rising has become general, and is spreading throughont the country, and numbers of trading stations and houses occupied by British residents have been destroyed. According to the latest reports, a targe body of natives are menacing the town of Mozambique, and the British Consul there has summoned H.M.S. Turquoise to protect the Biitish residents.
