A NARROW ESCAPE.
Greymouth, Maroh 8, A terrlfio thunderstorm burst ovar Bell , Hill and Nelson Creek district on Monday evening last, and heavy rain caused a landslip, which buried a hut belonging to Jaoob Brabweil, killing his dog instantly, and pinning Brabweil In tha fireplace, m whloh there was a big fire at the time. Fortunately he was discovered} by a neighbor m time to resone him from a frightful death, but not before he waa badly burnt from his ankle to his thigh.' Brabweil is a very old man, and an oldV resident In the district.
