BOROUGH FOOTPATHS.
10 THE EPITOB. Sir,— Beading m your report of the last meeting of the Borough Oounoll that it was deoided to asphalt Tanored street as far fas William street, 1 cannot help writing to protest against such a glaring waste of ratepayer's money,— of oourse, except to thoje residents who live m Tanored street. — seeing that there are numbers of streets and footpaths still onformed, and likely to remain so ai long as the-Oouucil is allowed to spend, the ratepayer's money m such unnecessary works. During the winter, if the Oounoil Is oalled upon to do oertain works m order to allow residents to . leave theli houses without walking aasle deep fn water, the answer will be, " No money," and no wonder. Ah ! Happy thought ! No doubt the residents of Tanored street suffer from oorns. Of oourse, that Is an all aaffiolint reason for having asphalt to walk on. I am, etc. , . NowMW.
