On the 24th ult. , the Viile de St N?iixrie arrived in -Noumea, New Caledonia, with the first batoh of. recldivlstes, consisting of 300 males and 16 females, accompanied by 18 warders 20 gendarmes, who will be interned m the Isle of Pines.. The oonviota are desorihed aa being confined In ca^ea like men condemned to death, and with their tatooed chests and savage expression of oountenance, they are only distinguishable from tho natives by the moustache they are allowed to wear.
