The definition of a district horse shall be all . horses that have been commonly resident m the country lyiDg between the aonthbank of the Solwyn and the north bank of the Waitaki from December 81, 1886, and up to the date of the forthcoming meeting, and owned by a person who has resided m the district above defined during the same period. General Rules of the Ashburton TraJesmeu'e Racing Club and Racing Rules of the Canterbury Jockey Club strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross of all moneys payable m accordance with this programme for expenses of the course; All disputes, claims, and objections arising out oi the lacing shall be dpcided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, their decision m all po : nts connected with tho carrying out o this programme to be tinal ; and entries will only be received subject to these conditions.
