RULES AND REGULATIONS, The definition of a district horae shall be all horses that have beea commonly resident m the country lying between th.9 south bank of the Selwyn and the north bank of tho Waitaki from December 31, 1886, and up to the date of. the forthcoming meeting, and owned by a person who has resided m the district abova defined during the same period. General Rnlea of tha Ashburton TraJeßmen'a Bacinir Club and Pacing Rules of the Canterbury Jockey Club strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will be deducted from the grosß cf all moneys payable m accordance with this programme for expenses of the course; All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the lacinj? shall be decided by tha Ste<?ardß, or whom they may appoint, their decision m all po : nts connected with the carrying ont o this programme to be linal ; and entries will only be received Bnbject to these conditions.
