QUEEN'S JUBILEE IN INDIA.
Oaloiita, F 'ternary 'l6. The celebration of the Queen's Jubilee took place to-day m the various cities and towns throughout India. The proceedings eveiywhere were of the most brilliant character, and great enthusiasm was displayed. , Grand native processions took place, special religious services were held at night m most of the towns, which were brilliantly illuminated. The jubilee was further celebrated by the wholesale release of prisoners m gaol for petty crimes and debt.
