A COMPROMISE.
The workmen employed by Hudson and Co. have agreed to accept a reduction of 5 per cent on their present wages. (Received February 16, at 12.60 p.m.) STILL AFLOAT. Port Darwin, February 16 'The Euphrates has kept afloat since striking the rock. She is, however, leaking badly and there are six feet of water m the hold.
