London. February 14 An interview with reference to the carnage of mails to Australia took place to-day between the AgentsGeneral of Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Mr Blackwood, Secreary to the Post Office, and the managers ot the P. and O. and Orient i Companies. No settlement oi the question was arrived at. Mr Blackwood promised to communicate with the two companies on Wednesday or Thursday next, when he would inform them what decision the Government Had come to with regard to postal contracts.
