Tim Whiffler was by Van Galen, out of Sybil, by Uglj Buck, out of Sylph, by Titha da puta, Van Galen being by Van Tromp, out of Littlo Casino, by Inheritor. Flying Scud was a dark bay mare, bred m Victoria by Mr J. Enrper m 1865, got by Fisherman, her dam being Joanette by Littlo John, Whilhelmina by Romeo, Moss Rose by Emigrant, the Driver maro (For extended pedigree see English and Australian Btud b< oks ) Tim Whiffler was scarcely ever beaten m England. The dam of thia horse being by Fisherman shows his grand blood, as a study of the Btud book will show that Mu?ket's great success has been from Australian bred mares, for the descendants of the graDdold Fisherman, viz., MartiniHenry, Nordonfelt, and Trenton, aro al descended from Fisherman on the dams side.
