He is a dark brown or black horse, stands 16 hands high, got by English Tim Whiffl r, out of Flying Scud. Tim Whiffler was by Van Galen, out of Sybil, by Uglj Buck, out of Sylph, by Titlm da puta, Van Galen being by Van Tromp, out of 1-ittlo Caßino, by Inheritor. Flying Scud was a dark bay maro, bred m Victoria by Mr J. Harper m 1865, got by Fisherman, her dam being Jeanette by Little John, Whilhelmina by Romeo, Mosb Boso by Emigrant, tho I ri«er mare (For extended pedigree boo English and Australian stud br oka ) Tim Whiffler was scarcely ever beaten m England. The dam of this horse being by Fifchermnn shows his grand blood, an a study of tho stud book will show that Miukot's groat success has been from AußtraUuu bred mares, for the descendants of the grand old fisherman, viz., MartiniHenry, Nordenfolt, and Trenton, are al descended from Fiohermau on the damß side.
