Fit, Style, and Wobkm^ship Gtjaeantebd. HUGH O. ORAIGHEAD. Ashburton, January Ut, 1887. 12 MARVELLOUS Steam Washer. A WASHING MACHINE AND BOILER IN ONE. Saves Labor, Time, Health and Money. Everybody does their own washing now. A child fourteen years of ape can wash fifteen bhiits m twenty m nutes. Hundreds of Ladie« are buying the Marvellous Steam Washer. THE Marvellous fetenm Washer U a square boiler inside of which revolves a hollow wooden cylinder that holds your clothes. Pour into the boiler wiuer to the depth of 3 inches. When the water boils you have steam, then revolve your wheel for 15 minutes, your clothes are then ready for rinsing. Steam has done your work, for steam is many times more powerful than w»Jcr. The oftener clothes ar« washed with thiß machine the whiter they get. Instead of tbe back breaking, bard rubbing, and Gnger-bleeding operation of the aemi-burbarouA washboard, nl> tho while inhaling the effluvia of the washtub, you have a Kentlo and hoalthy exeroit-e, giving a rotary mntion to 1b shirts at once, instead of rubbing on a HQiall part ot one. In-tead of being bent over the unhealthy fumes of a washtab, you are using a rotary boiler with but a little more Bteam than nn ordinary tea-kettle boiling. Instead of boi'ing and Bcrubbing hard lor several hourß over 16 shirts, you wash them all ia 15 minutes. With this machine an ordinary family's washing can be done m 2 to 3 hours, and the clothes all on the line, whi^h ia often a great advantage m drying thn clothes ; and dinner can b'i «ot ready as on nny other oay. • As a health preserver it v of the greatest impoitance, as the steam will thoroughly k;lt all ..germs of dieeasa that might bo m any clothes, wh'ch is sure to be i,\ those of the sick or consumptive. It ie wellknown by everyone of common Bbnee that washing cloth- a m tht: o'd way is the hardest of all wor&done by woven, aud i> time gives rheumatum, swollen joints, drawn-up fingers, and other i vils, but by using the marvellous Steam Washer the ter-ors of wash-day are over.
