A £25 hou«o rewarded Mr Wybert Reeve for bringing hie comedy company to Ashbu/ton on Tuesday. As announced, the piece selected for the delectation of local playgoers was "Tho Crushed. Tragedian," a description of which has already beon givon m these columns. Tho acting all through was capital, and appluuse was frequent The piece certainly " abounds m humorous situationf," but it is disconnected, and, on the whole, disappointing Mr Reeve took Fitzaltamont, the crushed tragedian, and his delineation of the character left little to be desired. Miss Julia Hurw&rd made a very pleasing "Florence Bristow," and Miss Emily Fizr jj», ia the unwomanly part of " JVtfiaa Mounfrjaßhrl," oreated a most favorable impression. Mien Fizroy gave a very pretty sor.g to her own accompaniment, and reooived for if a wellmerited enoro. — Mr Henry Hojte, as " Ernest Gkndinning," wan hardiy successful, and Mr Brian Darley (Sir iVtfohael Glendinniny,) was too much of a masher for the part of the wealthy father of a grown-up aon. Mr Cecil Ki&gatone (Me Gadsby) had little to do, but that little waa douo wtll. The part of j Florence's fathor was very well played by Mr Lnwrenoa. The Company left for Tim am to-day.
