He is a dark brown or black horso, stands 16 hands high, got by English Tim Whiffl-r, out of Flying Scud. Tim Whiffler was by Van Galen, out of Sybil, by Ugl} Buck, out of Sylph, by Titha da puta, Van Galen being by Van Tromp, out of JLittlo Casino, by-Inheritor. Flying Scud was a dark bay mare, bred m Victoria by Mr J. Harper m 1865, got by Fisherman, her dam being Jeanette by Little John, Whilhelmina by Romeo, Moss Rose by Emigrant, the Driver mare. (For extended pedigree see English and Australian etud books ) Tim Whiffler was scarcely ever beaten m England. The dam of this horse being by Fielierinon shows his grand blood, as a study of the stud book will show that Miuket's great success has been from Australian bred mares, for the descendants of the grand old Fisherman, viz., MartiniHenry, Nordenfelt, and Trenton, are al descended from Fisherman on the dams side. Terms: One Mare, £3. A reduotion will be made for two or more mares from one owner. Groomage fee, 6s, payable on firat service, GEO. APPLETON, 63? % Proprietor, A«bburtop
