Auckland, Febuary 8. . H.M.S. Nelson arrived this forenoon. Wellington, February 8. It is stated that a Wellington resident has written to the Minister of Justice offering to aot as the hangman of O*fFcey, Perm, and Hall. It is stated that Mr 0. Johnston will * resign his seat for Te Aro before going Home, and that the Hon W. W. Johnston will be a candidate at the next eleation. The Health Officer at Auokland telegraphed today that a case of typhoid fever had broken oat on board H.M.B. Nehon and asking for instructions. The Colonial Seorotary replied that the patient shoald be removed to the hospital, and it was not necessary to quarantine the ship. I Dunbdin, Februarys. ! I A body has been found on the beaoh at Kurl bußh with head, arms, and legs missing.
