The Government declines to initiate the morement for celebrating the ■Queen's Jubilee on the ground that no provision for that purpose has been made m the estimates.
Typhoid fever still continues throughout, Victoria. Since the beginning of the year 306 cases have been reported, of which 68 were fatal. From 20 to 30 fresh cases are reported daily.
