He was at one time a respectable and respected minister m Sydney, aid then displayed no such extravaganaes. He afterwards removed to Melbourne, when he first showed symptoms of softening of the brain in* dulging m all sorts of religious demonstrations m the open air, and defying the local authorities and theic by-laws, for which he suffered fine* and imprisonment.
