He is a dark brown or black horse, stands 1G hands hi^h, got by English Tim Whifflpr, out of Flying Scud. Tim Whiffler was by Van Galen, out of sybil, by Uglj Buck, out of Sylph, by Titba da puta, Van Galqn being by Van Tromp, out of Littlo Casino, by Inheritor Flying Scud was a dark bay mare, bred in Victoria by Mr J. Harper in 1865, got by Fisherman, her dam being Jeanette by Little John, Whilheltuina by Romeo, Moeb Rose by Emigrant, the Driver mare (For extended pedigree see English and Australian stud books ) Tim Whiffler was scarcely ever beaten in England. The dam of this horse being by Fisherman shows his grand blood, an a study of the stud book will show that Murket's great success has been from Australian bred mares, for the descendants of the graodold Fisherman, viz., MartiniHenry, Nordenfelt, and TrentoD, are al descended from Fishermaa on the dams side.
