Fit, Sttle, and Workmanship Guaranteed. HUGHC. CRAIGHBVD Aebburton, January Ist, 1887 12 HUSBAND AND WIFE. Thb Husband. Dear wife, I am weary of seeing You toil every day for yoar bread, While I am a poor helplesß being} 'Tis often I wieb I were dead. Yon ne'er were accustomed to toiling, Yonr hands were once white like tho snow; Whilo I watch yon work night and morning Yonr movements seem wearied and slowi Thb Wifh. Dear hnßband, give over yonr worry, My work ee^niß Ufco labor, I ween, But I am never compelled, dear, to hurry Now I nso Ferriman'a Washing Machine. It lightens by two-thirds my labors. And makes all my garments so clean, That onr clothes are tan envy of neighbors Who adore Ferriman'a Washing Machine TO THR WIVES AND MOTHBBB OP ASHBURTON AND THB GENERAL PUBLIC OP NBW ZBALA.ND. In presenting to the publio of Ashbmton the marvoUouß STEAM WASHBR, I believe I am confer r ing a boon of incalculable worth on every wife and mother m this beantifa) land, an whom thnt moßt important function of evory housohold devolve*, known (and hithorto dreaded) as washing clothes of every description. By the use of this Machine, this dietaetef al and Blavish work is entirely relieved of ite drudgery, and made a source of plea9nrablo exercise. The unrqaallel qualities which it posflCßF.ea of thoroughly blract int» the clothes giving tbom an unparalleled whiteness, oud its harmie-B action npon delicate and colored fabric?, r»nder it peculiarly neeful and popular. 'Jho saving qualities of the Maclrno quito m keeping with its other m*rito ions features. Any p raon who will give it a practical test will be unquestionably convinced that from an ECONOMICAL standpoint it is unsurpassed and nncquallod. The consumption of fnol is materially reduced. The saving effector) m this ito-n alone will m one year equal the price of tho Machine. As it only entails tbe consumption of two-thirds the •mount of soap u«ea m the ordinary way of washing, this item of economy js Bslf-evidenc to every person. The greatest saving, how ever, is effected m tho wear nnd tear of the clothes. Every intelligent individual known that' the übo of the washboard wears tin various fabrics more than anything else, and OB the marvellous Pteam Washer randera its use absolutely unnecessary, and thereby obviates almost entirety tbe necessity for •' clothes mending," its saving qualities m this particular will be at once apparent and appro, dated. But all ltR Bavin? qualities of a financial character are eclipsed, and dwindle into insig< ni finance, when we take into consideration the frail, delicate, and w»»kly condition of thousands of wives and mothers who are forced to tax their energies and waste their limited strength injlhe old way of washing; but who may, by tho use of its magical properties, do tho work without any fatipue to their feeble bodies, and with infinite satisfaction nnd pleasure to their mindß. This, more than any desire or expectation on the part of tho inventor to make money out o the article, was the prime object he had m view. From the marvellous reeulta obtained from its use. hewever, and the unbounded and enthusiastic commendations from e'voryone haung need it since its introduction to the pnblic, as L annexed list of names of persons wh > have purchased the machino and are willing to testify to its merits, will folly attest, tho Advertiser rm deemed it wise, m ordor to place thiß incomparable article of household uso more prominently before the intelligent people of the district, to five the postal address of a few of the buyers, m order that an unprejudiced and entirely impartial opinion of its" intrinsic value, may be readily obtained by anyone desirous of getting snob, information from actual vsan and parchisern, who will undoubtedly be best calculated to give a just estimate ef its value.
