ENGINEERS* RVrOBT.
The Engineers reported as follows — Water raon m river pacMooks : The Woks Committee has inspeoted the river-bed reserve below the bridge, with a view to taking the waste water through all 'the paddooks, and find the scheme to be feasible. We have since laid on a line of channel running through low ground, taking necessary levels, aud find that it can be oarrjed opt at no great expense. A channel would have to be olaarpd through low ground from the present ohannel m the paddook r coupled by Mr Henry, and through the adjoining paddock to the gully In the lowest one. This would be about 18 chains m length, and could be done yith the plough, throwing out the furrows ; twp or three short lengths of cutting, not exceeding a dVplh of 16 incheß, era ueoessary, but the total cost we estimate would not exceed £4. — Night soil : We pointed out to the Worki Committee on the ground our sugptstlona m this matter. Some levelling would be required and a roadway roughly defined, but we goneider that a couple of days for the plough and a man for clearing would be Bufficieut for this —Pointing library wbllb : Mr Orum is gottiog on very satis factorily with this work, and we have arranged with him under sanction of the WorKc Committee for oiling the wallc, three ooat?, before the soaffoldlng ii removed.
