NS.W. MINISTRY.
Sydney,, Ja- vary 17 The following constitute the new Ministry :— Colonial Secretary and Premier — Sir H. Parkes. Colonial Treasurer — Hon J.J. Burns. Minister for Public Works — Hon Mr Sutherland. Minister of Lands — Mr Thos. Garrett. Attorney-General — Hon W. J. Foster. Minister of Education — Hon J. Inglis. Minister of Mines— Hon Francis Abigail. Postmaster General — Hon R, H. Roberts. Minister of Justice — Hon W. Clarke. It is considered probable that Mr Barton, late Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, will accept the position of Vice-President of the Executive Council, which appointment Mr G. H. Reid declined. In the Legislative Assembly to-night, after an acrimonious debate, the House declined to grant supplies, by 44 to 43, until the Ministry has been formally declared. The new Ministry were sworn m this morning, with the exception of Sir H. Parkes, who, as Vice-President of the Executive Council, will ask for supplies himself.
