Hokitika, January 17. An important discovery of a quarts reef ha* been nan do at the nor th-eastein slope of the Mount llangitoto, a few miles from the Ceder Creek reefs. The reef is said to be well defined, 15ft thick, and carries payable gold. The official assay will proprobably be known to^motrow. A number of leases have been pegged off and great excitement exists m Ross.
