Sydney, January 14, Sir Patrick Jennings persists m resigning, and is considered probable Sir penry Parkes will be sent for by the Governor, m order to form a Ministry. Jt is rumoured that the Hon E. Barton intends to resign the position of Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. It is also rumoured that a new coalition Ministry will be formed. Lord Carrington has returned to town, but has ppt yet sent for any leading politician, and nothing has been definitely settled with regard to the formation of a new Ministry.
