TROUT FISHING.

Gray, and F. K. Gray. They fished principally m the neighbourhood of the Opuha sta* tion, and snoceaded m grassing 31 fiah, weighing 172ib. The weights, m accordanoo wiih tbe usage of the Geraldine Oourtty Anglers' Society, were verified by an uuinterested person, Mr Wigley actiuGr as snoh m this instance. Oat of this tnko four fishes fell to Mr Gray, weighing 211 b ; Mr Flint took 18 fishes, soiling 081 b ; and Mr F. K. Gray landed 9, weighing 531 b, two of which turned the. scale at 91b each. This portion of tha> river is at present full of fish, 61 ltrge> ones having bean eeen m one reach. Theovercrowding, of o nrse, mak»a them. hungry, and th<y readily take almost any bait.
