The total revenue tor the nine months ended 31st Decembee was £961,262 17 9d, or a deficiency on the pro^oraonae estimate for the year of £ 6 24T 2s 3d, Xho revenue fhr the corrflspoudint; nine months of 1885 was £1,065, 837 12s. The aotual falling oi? on t^ie lust three qn9ite*a compared with the corresponding period of 1885, is therefore £104,584 14s 3d.
Toe beer doty received at the various plaoes m the colony for the month of December last was £6313 Ils lid, or £58 less than the corresponding month for the previous year. Toe amount collected at the four centres were — Auckland, £1357 ; Wellington, £605 j Ohrißtohurch, £1206 ; Dunedin, £1275 The duty collected for the first three quarters of the financial year ended 31st December lait was £38,210, or a deficiency on the proportionate eßtimite for the year of £3039 The amount oolleo'od during the firtt three quarters of 1885 waa £40,320, or £2120 moro thin during the corresponding period of JBB6
