Goblet, President of the Council of Ministers, replying to a deputation of brokers, stated that France wants peace* and he believed m upholding the same, but the Government viewed ihs possibility of war calmly. President Grevy, receiving the members of the Diplomatic body yesterday, expressed himself confident m the maintenance of the peace of Europe. Bdoa-Pisth, January 1. M. Tiza, President of the Hungarian Council ot Ministers, has been presented with a New Year's address by a number of Liberal deputies and replying said the Austro-Hungarian, Government would stiive for peace provided the honor and interest of the empire were not menaced.
