Storks are low, and mil ers will buy only for immediate requrements Pearl and Tuscan ar- most wanted at 4s 5d to 4- Gd ; Hunter’s, which is not of fiiat quality, is more plmtifu at4s 41 to 4s 5d ; shrivelled has been near’y all cleared at 4s 2d to 4s 3d ; chickwheat co' tioues scree at 3s t 3s lid

Oats.—The shipment# that are b‘ing made t ome have to a certa n extent cleared this market of the needy holders, but stocks are still too heavy to commence a new season with. Willi g are worth 2s to 2a Id ; short feed, la 9d to Is 10d, and the long descriptions are hard to quit at Is Bd. Barley is but lightly held, malting being worth 2s 6d to 2s 9d ; feed (bold), 2s 3d o2s 4d ; scourings. Is lOd to 2s. Beans and peas have no trade to note Grass Seeds.—Th- new sea-on is fast approaching, and numerous enquiries are being made as to opening rates, ibut as yet nothing definite has been fixed It is reported that crops are generally light. Dairy produce has a a very weak ten dency. Butter is offering freely, an-r 4d to fid per lb is the best price paid for prime tub. Cheese has plenty of sellers at fid, but buvers do not care to exceed 4Jd tor mixed etrts. The a K ove prices are for delivery f.o b. Lyttelton, sacks extra.
