NOTICE is hereby given that the subjoined resolution was adopted by the Ashburton County Councd at a Special Meeting cf the C uncil held this day, and that the said resolution will be submitted for confirmation at a t-’prcial Meeting of the Council, which will be held on P KID AY, the 14th day of January, 1887, at 4 o’c ock in the afternoon. [Resolution] “ Resolved—That this Council do make a Special Order adopting “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1886,” and that such Special Order be as follows, that is to say:— SPECIAL ORDER. In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1886, “The Counties Act, 1876,” and the several Acts amending the same, the County Council of the County of a shbur ton doth hereby adopt the provisions of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1886.” Provided always that ihe operation of the said Act shall be limited to a loan of £3500, which this Council proposes to borrow from the Government under the provisions of “ The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act. 1886,” for the purpose of constructing a Tramway from the Mount Somers Railway Station to the Mount Somers Coal Pit, near the mouth of the River Stour.
