The Colonial Treasurer has just received a telegram from <the Agent-General informing him that the actuaries engaged in investigating the profits of the last quinqnennial period pf the government Insurance department find there is a surplus of £245,315, whereof they recommend for division £150,000. The Agent-General adds that the actuaries find the results much better than they expected. The investigation has shown that nearly 25 f ec cent, of the whole assets are surplus lauds*
