We learn from the Telegraph, that travellers arriving at Napier by way of the M&nawstn Gorge states “ the beantifol scenery Is already being destroyed by the commencement of works in connection with the Gorge railway.” Those magnificent palms (Nikans) and other of the grand foliage peculiar to the Gorge are being destroyed by the ruthless hands of the workmen, and what at one time waa considered one of the moot Beautiful ol 2«»!aQ4’s soeoes, will soon lw of toe p»«t f Q|
