PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the provisions of “ The Public Works Act, 1882.” the Mount Somers Road Board propose to close the Road hereinafter described, and a plan is deposited for inspection at Mr Hood’s, Mount Somers. Description The Road proposed to be closed commences at its junction with the Mount Somers-Alford Road, at the north-eapt corner of Reserve 2236. and extends thence in a south-easterly and southwesterly direction, a distance of one mile five hundred* and eighteen links and decimal 9 of one link, to its junction with the Mount Somers Tramway Reserve at the south-east corner of Rural Section 29599, and is bounded on the west t y Reserve 2236 and Rural Sections 29600. 27790 and 29599, and on the east by Rural Sections' 24748 29574 and 27791, as delineated on the maps of the Chief Surveyor of the Provincial District of Canterbury, Block XII, Alford Survey District.
