The garden party iu connection with St Stephen s Church has now come to be ooked upon as a regular annual institution ; the success of which it is always safe to calculate upon beforehand. C. Foots, Bullock, Gates, Olaridge, Thomas, Trevor, Halsell. Rest el I, Felton, Bland, Mayo, Misses Shury, Gates, Arkwell, and others. A feature of the day was a Maypoledance, prettily executed by a number of diminutive young ladles, whose success was due to the painstaking tuition of Mrs A Curtis. The usual games were indulged in, and there was also boating ad lib, for those whose inclinations were that way be .t, A Richardson’s Show was on the ground, and was »ell patronised.
