A GENUINE EL DORADO.
The proprietors of Mount Morgan (Queensland) gold mine, after colossal experiments extending over some mouths, now estimate their yield for the coming yea- at 36,000 ounces weekly, worth £l4B 000, or, in all, over, £7,500,000 for the 12 months. This estimate is based on the quality of stone already stacked (50,000 to ! a), and the amounts that their batteries and chlorination engines can get through in the six week days, the quality of the stuff being perfectly uniform, and the return of gold calculable beforehand with approximate certainty. Some of the Australian papers, it may be remembered, (says the Bulletin) loudly jeered when, a few months s>noe that journal announced that the mine was then yielding over £30,000 weakly.
