NOTICE is hereby given under the provisions of the i istrict Kail ways Purchasing Act, 1885, and the District Railways Purchasing Act, 1885, Extension and Amendment Act 1886, that it is my intention to niiko, on the 4th December, a rate oa all Propo-ty within the Rakaia and Ashburton Forks Railway District, as defined in G zeite of 17th October, 1878, page 1415, for the year ending 31st Man.li, 1886, as follows ; 29,311 A rate of of a penny in the 100,000 pound on all land comprised in the first class, 26,054 A rate of of a penny in the 100,000 pound on all land comprised in the second class. 19,541 A rate of of a penny in the 100,000 pound on all land comprised in the third class. 13,027 A rate of of a penny in the 100,000 pound on all land comprised in the fourth class. j That such Rate will be payable to the Postmaster at Rakaia on the 11th December next, and that the Rato B -ok will j e open for inspection at the Post Office, Rakaia, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 , .m. daily from the 15th to the 30th November, buth inclusive.
