NOTICE is hereby given under Ibo provisions of the District Railways Purchasing Act, 1885, and the District Railways Purchasing Act. 1885, Extension and Amendment Act 1886, that it is my intentio i to m ike, on the 4th December, a rate on nil Propinty within the Rakaia and Ashburton Folks Railway District, as dt lined in Gazette of 17th October, 1878, page 1415, for Dio year ending 31st March, 1886, as follows : 29,311 A rate of of a penny in the 100,000 pound on all land comprised in the first class. 26,054 A rate of of a penny in the 100,000 pound on all land comprised in the second class. 19 541 A rate of of a penny in the 100,000 pound on all land comprised in the third class. 13.027 A rate of of a penny in the 100,000 pound on ad land comprised in the fourth class. That such Rate will be payable to the Postmaster at Rakaia on the 11th December next, and that the Rate R >ok will te open for inspection at tho Post Office, Rakaia, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 i.m. daily from the 15th to the 30th November, b,,th inclusive.
