Splendid rains have fallen in Fiji, and the New Zealand Company report the sugar crop at 200 tons in excess of the estimate. The sitting of the Fiji Legislative Council has closed. The Lieut —Governor reports the revenue for the ninp ™ OI V* IS ending 30th September to be £44 50£; expenditure, £53,069 ; deficit, Consideration of the estimates, and the proposed Victorian reciprocity treaty, has been postponed for two months, pending the arrival of the new Governor, Sir Chaa Mitchell.
