The demand was not very keen, the qoie' animals of oar own proaace fetching i.igher prices according to weight thin the sea-borne cattle. S eers sold at from £6 5s to £8 10a; heifers from £5 to £7 2s 61, bai.ig from 20s to 23s per ICOlb. A moderate number of store tat.le yarded, demand was pretty middling, with littm or no alternation in late reported values ; threa-year-old steers sold at £4 10a per bead ; some two-year-olds at £3 ; two-year-old heifers sold at from £2 to £2 lls ; yearlings from 20s to 27a Fat Sheep—A fairly good entry «>£ all qualities, dear and not very keen. Values ruling very low. Heavy crossbred wethers s dd at 10s 3d,, 11a 3d, 12s 6d, and a few very exceptional weights at 17a 3d. Medium weight wethers, 7a to 9s. Crossbred ewes from 5• to 9s. Merino wethers, in the wool, 12a 9d : do shorn, from 5s to 6a Sd, being an average of about per lb. Store Sheep—A fairly numerous entry, demand not very active. Shorn hoggets low. at from 3t to 4s 34. A few other lines of aged sheep at lata Biles. A moderate entry of fat lambs sold pretty well, values ranging from 6s to 9s 9d. A small entry of pigs met with a better market than of 1-ite.
