THE BURMESE EXPEDITION, Rangoon, November 21
Sir Frederick Roberts, Commander of the British Forces in Upper Burmah, has demanded that officers be sent to replace those killed and wounded in recent engagements with the rebels.
MASSACRE OF FRENCH SAILOhS. Aden, November 21
News has reached here that some natives at Ambadu, on the African Coast, have massacred the captain and seven of the crew of the French war vessel Penguin, who landed at that place for the purpose of .obtaining water.
THE REVOLT IN AFGHANISTAN

Renewed repons are to hand from Afghanistan lhat the victories obtained by the Ghilzar tribes, who are in revolt over Afghan troops has caused the rising to spread. The outbreak is stated to be a protest on the part, of the Ghilzars and other tribes against the Ameei’s alliance with the British.
