SALVATION ARMY MARRIAGES.
The Staff Council of the Salvation Army in London have issued the following stringent order upon the subject of marriage regulations “In future no sanction will be given to courting or any engage* me it of any male lieutenant. He must be (r united to the rank of captain before anything of the kind can bo recognised. No captain is to expect head quarters’ consort to Ms marriage, either after two year*’ service, or more, unless he has pro ved himielf an efficient and suoceiefoß i file r and Is backed by bis divisional * ffi.er, who, in consenting to his marriage, oust agree to give him three stations In future no marriage will be agreed to by headquarters unless we hive consented t > the engagement at least 12 months before. The old rules remiia In force •.hat there ma t be at least 12 months’ re-vice in the field as a commisaoned offi -r before any engagement can be sanctioned. Communication with regard to engagements must be made to the divisional < fficara, who will refer the matter to headquarters.”
