£*ir, —I am groat tv pleased and enlightened by the splendid letters of your correspondents, “ Veritas ” and “Reflection" but, as 1 have not had the happiness to receive a good education, I do not clearly understand what “Veritas” means by ‘ sensuous worship and meaningless mummery.” Does he mean that some churches have meaningless mummery in them? Becan<e J. have been inquisitive enough to ask what, some s'gtues In a church signified, and I was led to believe that they signified something, and received an assurance that they were Just', tied >u having the statues there 1 will -‘eel thankful if “ Veritas ” or “ Reflection ” will enlighten me more on the subject.
