He had bought the spade from Messrs Orr and Alcorn, He llentlfied the one produced es that which had been lost. He recognised it by a hrnimer mark on the handle.—A. Maopheraou, shopman at Orr and Alcorn’s, deposed to selling some spades to the last witness. He identifi ,d the firm’s private mark on the one produced.—This was the case for the prosecution The defendant called J. Sealy, who said that a few weeks ago lie sold Tarnahaw a spade similar to the one produced.
