The Manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company reports as follows on the local markets :—Wheat is quiet and firm at 5s to 5s id j barley, no improvement, 3s gd to 4s 3d ; New Zealand (feed sorts), difficult to sell, even at slight reduction, 23 nd to 3s 2d ; milling sorts are depressed at 3s 2d to 3s 3I; New Zealand oats, in bond, are neglected at 2s 3d to 2s 3d. A FALSE ALARM. Sydney, November 16 The steamer Ozone has been granted pratique, there being no infectious disease on board. The captain alone is suffering from intermittent fever. POLITICAL. Melbourne, November 17In the Legislative Assembly last night a vote of want of confidence was negatived without division. GOLD FEVKR. Large numbers are leaving Melbourne for the Teetnloa diggings.
