The weather has be«u most b laterous during the whole of last wa-k, Severe gales have been blowing every day or night, accompanied by rail), snow, sleet or bail. In the middle of the week ha bad weather culminated in a thunderstorm which covered the ground to the depth of four or five inches with snow The money which, two month' ago, was obtained through our school children’s ounce, t, has been invested in Sunday School mvemls and in some sixty books for a children’s library, The latter Elands evid-ntly in much favor with the young people, who seem to develop a surprising liking for reading. This facilitates the teacher's work not a little The Presbyterian Church Committee here have issued circulars in which «hay invite the Rev D Af ■,N’iell’s flock to clea*’ off a debt of £.34, incurred by the purchase of a section for a church. This debt must bo paid by January 15th.
